Matthew 24:13 “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”
This verse—I find myself returning again and again to this verse.
The context of this verse is about the End Days. When our family left our homeland, we were aware we were living in the End Days. Thanks to the forewarning of our Master, we knew that hard times would come upon all of humanity. The call to leave our homeland was not just a call to a location. It was a call to persevere.
Matthew 24:6 “And you shall begin to hear of fightings and reports of fightings. See that you are not troubled, for these have to take place, but the end is not yet.”
Over the last week, we have intermittently heard sirens in our small village. We have noticed two types of sirens. One has a rhythm; it builds up and gets increasingly louder, repeating over and over again for about a minute and a half. The other is a long, high-pitched sound. We can barely hear it over the sound of our window fans, and sometimes we can sleep through it.
Living as sojourners, we have had difficulty figuring out exactly what these sirens are communicating to the general public. Updated, accurate news about our area has not been easily accessible. Six days into the siren raids, we learned that the first siren communicates that missiles are firing overhead—take cover. The second means that the immediate threat has been removed.
Matthew 24:7 “For nation shall rise against nation, and reign against reign. And there shall be scarcities of food, and deadly diseases, and earthquakes in places.”
We know these things must take place. The Bible calls them “birth pains.”
Matthew 24:8 “And all these are the beginning of birth pains.”
To Endure Until the End
Matthew 24:13 “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”
The Bible speaks of two types of salvation. The first is for the forgiveness of sins.
To receive salvation for the forgiveness of sins, a person simply needs to put their faith in Yahushua—His death and resurrection. He has made a way for salvation; the way is open for all who believe.
This verse in Matthew is not about salvation for the forgiveness of sins.
Matthew 24:13 is about “End Days” salvation. It is the type of salvation that says, “I made it through. I lived through World War, food scarcity, disease (bioweapons and the like), and natural disasters.”
The first type of salvation is a prerequisite for the second.
I hope and pray to make it through. I hope my family makes it through. Furthermore, I hope you, dear reader, make it through.
With the salvation of humanity on my mind, I wrote a poem.
It’s called “We All Need It”
We All Need It
Artists need it. Writers need it. Musicians need it. Anyone using their creativity…
Teachers need it. Students need it. Anyone writing a paper or preparing for a test…
Marriages need it. Caregivers need it. Anyone with children and parents… Anyone with friends and neighbors… Anyone divorced or alone…
Anyone grieving…
Athletes need it. Addicts need it. Anyone with health concerns… Anyone in recovery…
We are more alike than we seem.
Researchers need it. Truth tellers need it.
Investors need it. Business owners need it. Anyone with bills to pay, debts to settle, and deadlines…
Foreigners need it. Anyone far from home, land, culture, and loved ones… Anyone learning a new language… Anyone longing for a place to fit in…
Changemakers… Whistleblowers… Freedom fighters… Justice seekers… Peacemakers… Burden bearers...
Anyone forgiving… Anyone needing to be forgiven...
Anyone persecuted… Anyone in a hard place…
Anyone trying to make a difference…
We all need it to get through the day. To take us to the place Where sleep restores And we begin again It’s called—Persevere.
The call to persevere is Biblical. It is the call of every sojourner wherever we roam. It’s the call of everyone trusting in Yahushua for End Days salvation.
A Cup of Persevere
My son Justin and I designed this mug. It incorporates our doodle art with a sincere message.
As sojourners, we live this message every day.
This mug is available at our AJ Doodles Printify store.

We have designed a t-shirt and notebooks with this message as well.

Matthew 24:14 “And this Good News of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come.

Important message for everyone.
I wrote this rhyme yesterday.
"Bombs sound and sirens wine
But my eyes are fixed upon the Divine"
Keep persevering!
Your poem really speaks to me Amy. It makes me think of 2 Corinthians 4:8 & 9 Being hard pressed on every side, but not crushed: being perplexed, but not in despair: being persecuted, but not forsaken: being thrown down, but not destroyed.Also…….Revelation 3:10 if I understand that correctly. Because you have kept my command to persevere I will also keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth.
