Pioneering the Call
In the winter of 2015, many unknowns laid before us.
Studying prophetic Scriptures, the Father had revealed to us that the United States of America was the fulfillment of end-days Babylon. We understood that there will be a gathering for YHWH’s people in the End Days. He will gather His people from the nations and bring them together in a wilderness place. In this place, a remnant will escape the judgment of the nations and greet Yahushua at His return.
Through the Scriptures, we heard the call to flee Babylon, a literal end-days nation, as well as the call to gather in a particular location prophesied to be safe from the hand of the Anti-messiah.
We knew the call was to leave our homeland. It was so clear. Our sprits rejoiced. Yet, it required a high level of sacrifice and obedience.
We put our house on the market. We had no idea exactly how we would leave our entire life behind or how YHWH would provide for our move.
Mom and Dad carried burdens. In their lifetime, they had given up many things to follow Yahushua. Hearing this call was different. Unlike other things, my parents did not have an example to follow. They were called to lead the way, to pioneer.
Pioneer by Nancy Honeytree
As Mom and Dad prepared to leave our homeland, there was a tremendous amount of work to do. In the midst of the work, strong waves of sadness overcame them.
They found a song that put words to the deep emotions they felt.
Pioneer
Pioneer
Keep pressing onward
Beyond your fear
Only the Father
Goes before you
To your own frontier
You’re a pioneerThese lyrics described our call as a family. We had fears—many. Yet, pressing on was the only option. The Father would go before us, and that would be enough.
Uncharted Wilderness
Uncharted wilderness
Stretches before you
And you thrive on going
Where no one has gone
Still it gets lonely
When darkness deepens
So sing by the fire
Until the dawn
You travel on
You travel alone
And when you arrive
Nobody knows
But the Father in Heaven
He is glad you can go
For those who come after you
Will need the roadIt did not matter with whom my Mom shared our news. Family or friends, nobody fully understood. Some people respected; fewer offered compassion; many rejected us with silence; some even begged us not to do it. Disapproval became something we expected.
We knew that we were paving our own road. This road was not traveled yet, but one day would be trodden by many. Others would understand this end-days calling, too. We found comfort in the fact that our example would help others find the way.
No Looking Back
And what you have done
Others will do
Bigger and better
And faster than you
But you can’t look back
no
You gotta keep pressing through
There’s a wilderness pathway
And it’s callin’ you
Callin’ you
Callin’ you clear
Keep pressing onward
You can’t stay here
Only the Father
Goes before you
To your own frontier
You’re a pioneerMonths later our family boarded an international plane. As it took flight, I looked out the window and watched the mainland fade away.
I heard Dad weeping. He was leaving the place of his birth, childhood, adulthood, and all his memories. His tears spoke to me. They said that we were departing for good. The tears were sorrowful and joyful. They expressed that YHWH had called us and that we would obey without looking back.
I Am a Pioneer
Still, years later, the song Pioneer cheers our family on in our walk.
I was a boy when my family was called. I am a young man now. These lyrics resound within my heart.
I am a pioneer, one of 9 sojourners. The road I travel is extremely lonely, but we are not alone. The Father in Heaven went before us and is with us every step of the way.
One day, I will be overjoyed to look over my shoulder and see multitudes on the same path.
