I wrote this poem to go with my drawing above. It’s a highlight from a vector art piece that I made with my son. A spring hike on the Shaq Al Reesh Trail in Jordan inspired the piece. I hiked this trail with my four oldest children in the spring of 2023.
When you hike in Jordan with a trail guide, they always stop for a tea break. They light a fire on the trail and make traditional Bedouin tea for you! It is a symbol of hospitality and friendship. Tea also helps to hydrate the body.

I love the poem AND the drawing! We are big tea drinkers and I have loved spending time in other cultures as well and partaking in their tea rituals like Moroccan Mint tea and English High tea- I would love to hike with a Bedouin one day!! And I love the practice of building a fire on the trail! I may have to try that sometime soon and bring my tea! ☕️ shalom!!
I like the poem!
Authentic Bediuon tea is one of my favorites.
