A Resource for End-Days Sojourners
The Zadok Priestly Calendar
We are a family of nine. We left our homeland to sojourn in the Middle East. Through the prophetic scriptures, we have discovered an end-days calling for the protection of a remnant during the tribulation. In this publication, we teach and share about our walks of faith.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. KJV
“Study to show yourself approved.” These were the words of a spiritual father to his beloved student.
A simple command, and yet, its importance weighs heavily on those of us walking with Messiah in the End-days.
The Torah, The Foundation
As sojourners waiting and preparing for our Master’s return, our family devotes ourselves to studying Yah’s Word.
We read the first five books of the Bible on a yearly cycle. Starting in the Spring, we read Genesis 1. Reading approximately 3 chapters a week, we finish the annual cycle in Deuteronomy by winter’s end. We have done this for 16 years in a row.
The Torah lays the foundation for the rest of the Scriptures. By studying the Torah, we understand the prophets’ message: a call to return to the ancient ways. The Torah points to Yahushua and is the foundation for the gospels and apostolic writings.
In the Torah, we find words of life, instructions, testimonies of the sojourning of our forefathers, and prophecy for the end-days generation.
From the Torah, we learn about the importance of the luminaries. Genesis 1 reveals that YHWH set the sun, moon, and stars in place to keep track of time—the holidays, days, and years.
Genesis 1:14-15 And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it came to be so.
Genesis 1:16 And Elohim made two great lights: the greater light [sun] to rule the day, and the lesser light [moon] to rule the night, and the stars.
The Heavenly Scroll
Our family studies the luminaries. We do not study to worship them; that is clearly forbidden in Scripture. We study to understand Yah’s signs and appointed times.
Our research has led us to the original Hebrew names of the constellations and their courses in the night sky.
We have discovered that each month corresponds to one of the 12 constellations on the Zodiac. From the Bible, we see 12 months every year; a 13th month is never mentioned.
The term Zodiac is not a pagan term, it comes from the Hebrew word, zadok צָדַק, meaning righteous.
When we study the Zodiac constellations, we see pictures like the Virgin, prophesying Messiah’s birth; the Lamb, prophesying His death; and the Lion, prophesying His Return to judge and rule the Earth.
Further, the Bible refers to the heavens “like a scroll.”
Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of the heavens shall rot away. And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll, and all their host fade like a leaf fading on the vine, and like the fading one of a fig tree.
Revelation 6:14 And heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
These verses compare the heavens to a scroll. They are in the context of judgment. They indicate a future event when the heavens, as we see them, the stars, will be rolled up “like a scroll.”
Furthermore, in the Psalms, we have many references to stars revealing knowledge, like a scroll.
Psalm 19:1-2 The heavens are proclaiming the esteem of Ěl; And the expanse is declaring the work of His hand. Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.
Psalm 19:3 There is no speech, and there are no words, their voice is not heard.
Psalm 119:89-90 Forever, O יהוה, Your word stands firm in the heavens. Your trustworthiness is to all generations; You established the earth, and it stands.
Psalm 119:91 According to Your right-rulings, they have stood to this day, for all are Your servants.
A plausible interpretation for Psalm 119:89-91 is that Yah’s Word is written through pictographs in the stars, also known as the constellations. The stars stand firm, since the beginning of creation, and serve to witness to Yah’s plan of salvation for mankind.
Oh, the joys of studying Yah’s Word! There’s so much to learn.
A Resource for Your Studies
Through our studies, we have composed a resource to share some of what we have learned, and invite others to study along with us. The Written in the Heavens Wall Calendar with Reading Plan.
The Dead Sea Scrolls
This resource is a version of the Zadok Priestly Calendar. The term Zadok refers to the righteous priesthood found in the Book of Ezekiel, particularly chapter 44: 15-24.
Ezekiel 44:15 “But the priests, the Lěwites, the sons of Tsaḏoq, who guarded the duty of My set-apart place when the children of Yisra’ěl went astray from Me, they shall draw near to Me to serve Me, and shall stand before Me to bring to Me the fat and the blood,” declares the Master יהוה.
Ezekiel 44:16 “They shall enter My set-apart place, and they shall draw near to My table to serve Me, and they shall guard My charge...
Ezekiel 44:23 “...And they are to teach My people the difference between the set-apart and the profane, and make them know what is unclean and clean.
Ezekiel 44:24 “And they are to stand as judges in a dispute, and judge it according to My right-rulings. And they are to guard My Torot and My laws in all My appointed times, and set apart My Sabbaths.
The Zadokite priests were entrusted with guarding the correct calendar and the set-apart times (Yah’s holidays, in other words ‘holy’ days).
Now, today, we do not have Zadok priests telling us exactly how to keep the calendar, but we do have an excellent resource that is accessible. We have the Dead Sea Scrolls. This is a game-changer for our generation.
We can study from the library of the Zadok priests. With books from the Dead Sea Scrolls like Jubilees, 1 Enoch, and the Temple Scrolls, we can examine the texts and test them according to other Scripture.
When studying this topic with the Set-apart Spirit, we find incredible confirmation throughout the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation.
Yah’s Calendar is a topic of study for those diligently seeking truth. Many disciples of YHWH are studying this subject. Our family has learned from several others on this subject.
We still have some questions and things to learn. But with that said, we have put many pieces together. We created a wall calendar designed as a study guide.
Wall Calendar, Reading Plan, & Study Guide- 3 in 1
This wall calendar is simple. It testifies to Yah’s perfect order.
Each day is synchronized with the Gregorian calendar, making it easy to follow.
Each month has a picture of the Zodiac constellation for that month. This enables us to look up and read the heavenly scroll.
The introduction to the calendar includes many scriptural references to Yah’s Set-apart Times. The references are from the Bible and extra-biblical resources. They are provided for easy reference and personal study and confirmation.
All Yah’s Sabbaths and Appointed Times are clearly marked, including the beginnings of each season.
Embedded in the calendar is a weekly Torah reading plan. This is the plan that our family uses from week to week. It starts in the spring when the Biblical year starts and ends in the last day of winter.
Here is a gallery of some sample pictures from this special product.

Further, if you are following the Written in the Heavens Substack, there is a correlating reading guide for the constellation of each month.
This resource is of great value for those who wants to learn about Yah’s calendar, His appointed Times, and what the Heavens declare.
May you be blessed in your studies.
